KT Week Shirt Design
For the design, I wanted to use a catchy phrase that the participants at KT week would enjoy. I also wanted the phrase to represent Kin Takahashi and also where the event was being held. Thus, "wurKIN for Murvul" was the phrase. Obviously, the "KIN" in wurKIN stands for the first name of Kin Takahashi. Secondly, for many of the alumni and current students of Maryville College and also citizens for Maryville, Maryville is pronounced mostly as "Murvul". It's a funny way of letting people know where you are from and sharing the identity of Maryville College. I chose the orange color of the shirt for two reasons. First, it's one of the colors of Maryville College. Secondly, it goes well with the brown boots and font. The second phrase "Get your work boots on" emphasizes the activities that go on during KT week. It's about putting in for the community and also giving back to the campus. The back of the shirt has the official 2010 logo for the upcoming KT Week.
