Shape Modular: Organic, Geometric, Ambiguous
With the geometric composition I started off by creating 5 black squares. After going this I had 9 squares to work with. I used a pattern that went in the order of: square, star, circle, square, star, circle, square, star, etc. It seems like it's easier to see the pattern in the black squares.
With my organic image I decided to use different strokes of the contoured line tool. You can probably tell that it's a lion because of the large amount of space that the head takes up. I used the hatch mark technique on the jaw of the lion to give the image some detail. Also I used different strokes on the lion's main for detail.

See also: University and campus maps
As you can see, this is a map that shows a portion of the University of Tennessee's campus. I thought that this campus had quite a bit of orginzation when I looked at it. I will start with the area that the sports are in. Since I like sports so much, the track and field caught my eye. I thought that it was a good idea to have a whole section of the campus made specificly for a certain "activity". For example, the track is located in the same place as the intramural fields, tennis courts, sports bubble, and phys. ed. center. In the top left of the map you can see that many of the residential halls are located across from each other. Also to the right of the sports area are places for art, music, and theatre, three simimlar subjects. I thought this was a good layout for the campus because it created strong unity when similar subjects were within the same proximity.
